Monoethylene Glycol (MEG)
The base glycol of antifreeze and polyester production.
CAS No 107-21-1Glycols & Glycol Ethers
Slow-evaporating propylene glycol ether with high oil solvency.
PnB has the strongest oil solvency among propylene glycol ethers and is preferred in cleaners that tackle stubborn oil and grease. Slow evaporation makes it an effective coalescent in waterborne paints. Its low surface tension improves wetting.
The product descriptions on this site are informational texts explaining where each product is used, and do not replace a technical specification. The binding information for formulation and process decisions is the technical data sheet (TDS) and safety data sheet (SDS) of the batch delivered. Before moving to a new application we recommend requesting a sample and running a preliminary trial under your own conditions.
