Butyl Diglycol (BDG)
Very low-volatility coalescent that governs film formation in waterborne systems.
Product description
BDG has far lower volatility than butyl glycol, so it stays in waterborne paints until film formation is complete. In exterior paints applied at low temperature it prevents cracking. It also delivers strong solvency in industrial cleaners.
