Product description
MIBK evaporates more slowly than MEK and has low water solubility; together these traits improve film quality in high-solids systems. It provides strong solvency for nitrocellulose, acrylic and epoxy resins. In hydrometallurgy it also serves as the solvent phase in metal extraction.
