Glycerine
Versatile polyol used as a humectant, softener and resin feedstock.
CAS No 56-81-5Auxiliary Chemicals
Natural vegetable oil carrying hydroxyl groups; polyurethane and resin feedstock.
Castor oil differs from other vegetable oils because of the hydroxyl group on its ricinoleic acid, which makes it behave like a natural polyol. That property allows its use in polyurethane and alkyd resin production. Its dehydrated grade is used in fast-drying varnish systems.
